After three successful years, the ECSB is pleased to offer a fourth edition of the Virtual Visiting Scholar Programme.
The programme aims to support early career researchers in developing their research agenda through online collaboration with faculty, researchers, and networks at a selected host institution. With this virtual programme for its members, ECSB is building on its extensive global network to make visiting scholarships more accessible to early career researchers to contribute to academic career development, foster individual and institutional relationships and strengthen international collaborative research.
For detailed information on the programme including host and visitor requirements, please see https://ecsb.org/ecsb-visiting-scholar-programme/.
For the Virtual Visiting Scholar Programme 2025 we are pleased to offer scholarships at the following six host institutions:
- Florida State University
- NTNU
- Tallinn University of Technology
- University for Sustainable Development Eberswalde
- University of Beira Interior
- University of Nottingham
We now invite interested members to apply for a virtual visiting position at one of the host institutions on offer. See details on the positions on offer here. Applicants are required to be members of the ECSB and they are asked to attach a preliminary research plan and a CV to their applications. After we have received all applications, the ECSB will then facilitate a matching process between applying scholars and host institutions. Preference is given to early career researchers who have either recently completed their PhD or are about to complete their degree.
If you are interested to become an ECSB Visiting Scholar at one of the host institutions above, please complete the application form below by 17 January.
