4 February 2026 at 15.00-15.45 (CET): Celebrating 40th Anniversary of RENT: Insights from RENT Best Paper Winners – Ziad El-Awad

This is a short webinar (45 minutes including Q&A and discussion) as part of the webinars with previous RENT award winners. In addition to taking a trip down memory lane and highlighting the 40th Anniversary of RENT, it is primarily an opportunity for younger scholars to see examples of how people work with developing their papers and their careers.

Ziad El-Awad (American University of Beirut) won ISBJ Best Paper Award at RENT 2017 with the paper “Dysfunctional Heterogeneity: A Process Model of Learning in Cognitively Heterogeneous Teams” co-authored with Anna Brattström, and the presentation will be along the lines of: What was the paper about, What happened to the paper (did it get published in the same/another version), What happened to him afterwards (What is he researching now).

11 February 2026 at 15.00-16.00 (CET): AI in Entrepreneurship Education with Basel Hammoda

Basel Hammoda (TalTech) will present some reflections on his article “Entrepreneurship Education at the Dawn of Generative Artificial Intelligence” published in Entrepreneurship Education and Pedagogy in 2023. Since then, the field and the technology has developed even further. He will also highlight a few AI related activities followed by Q&A and discussion.

Marcel Bogers will provide a 20–30-minute intro to one of the frameworks in his newly published book ‘Social media for research impact’ followed by a practical exercise where the participants will try it out.

11 March 2026 at 15.00-16.00 (CET): How to organise 3E Conference?

Sebastian Planck (the organizer of 3E 2025 in Munich) and Michael Breum Ramsgaard (the organizer of 3E 2023 in Aarhus) will share their experiences from organizing the 3E Conference so that research groups who are thinking about applying know what they are getting themselves into. They will go through the process from applying to the finished conference as well as the organizing of a special issue in connection with the conference. There may also be some anecdotes and some behind the scenes insights.

16 March 2026 at 15.30-17.00 (CET) - ECSB SocChange SIG Webinar: 'A critical discussion of the role of social entrepreneurship in social change'

This webinar critically explores when social entrepreneurship drives real social change – and when it reinforces the inequalities and environmental harm of market systems. Leading scholars will offer brief insights followed by an open discussion on the potentials and limitations of social entrepreneurship, building on earlier conversations informed by Karl Polanyi.
