SUMMARY:PDW Embedding a Multidisciplinary Approach to Entrepreneurship Education –Stakeholder Approach and Institutional Practice
DESCRIPTION:Overview\nEmbedding a multidisciplinary approach to entrepreneurship education (EE) remains a complex and evolving challenge for entrepreneurship educators who are still grappling with how to extend EE beyond business and management disciplines. This interactive PDW introduces a Stakeholder Engagement Methodology (SEM)\, drawing on Stakeholder Management Theory (SMT) and the Interest–Influence Matrix to demonstrate how a multidisciplinary approach to EE has been successfully embedded at the University of Liverpool (UK). \nThrough facilitated discussions\, participants will critically explore the challenges and opportunities of embedding a multidisciplinary EE\, reflect on institutional bottlenecks\, evaluate effective practices\, and collaboratively identify practical strategies for fostering  impactful EE that goes beyond the boundaries of business and management disciplines. \nKey discussion questions: \n\nWhat are the main barriers to embedding multidisciplinary EE?\nWhat does effective practice look like in diverse disciplinary contexts?\nHow can institutions systematically engage key stakeholders to develop\, design and embed a multidisciplinary EE?\n\nBenefits to participants \n\nGain a practical framework for stakeholder mapping and engagement tailored to EE.\nExplore how to navigate institutional bottlenecks and leverage enablers.\nLearn how to adapt and embed EE across multiple disciplines.\nEngage in knowledge sharing with fellow educators\, programme leads\, and institutional stakeholders.\nLeave with actionable strategies to cultivate students’ entrepreneurial knowledge\, skills\, and competencies across disciplines.\n\nWho should attend?  \n\nEntrepreneurship educators\nProgramme leaders and directors\nInstitutional change agents\nSenior HEI staff involved in curriculum development and innovation\n\nParticipation is free but a registration is required.
