SUMMARY:ECSB Conference Goes Online
DESCRIPTION:Presenting one’s research and receiving feedback on it is important for advancing in research. The ECSB organizes annually two conferences – the RENT Research in Entrepreneurship and Small Business together with EIASM and the 3E – ECSB Entrepreneurship Education Conference. However\, we understand that attending conferences in person is not always an option for all. For this reason\, ECSB organises ECSB Conference Goes Online on 18 February 2026 between 10am and 2pm (CET). \nWe are honoured to present Professor Kim Klyver from University of Southern Denmark as the Keynote Speaker. Professor Kim Klyver will give a keynote entitled: “Rethinking entrepreneurship in causally entangled crises: Towards a poly-crisis perspective”. \nPresenting at the ECSB Conference Goes Online will be free-of-charge for existing ECSB members. We will accept approximately 12–16 presentations for this event. In the selection a priority will be given to existing ECSB members and to authors who have not presented their paper at the previous 3E or RENT conferences (3E 2025 or RENT 2025). All ECSB members are welcome to join the ECSB Conference Goes Online as participants. The event is free-of-charge but registration will be required. \nHow to join ECSB Conference Goes Online? \nSubmit your abstract (900 words) to ecsbonline@utu.fi by 9th December. In the e-mail include also 1-2 sentences why you are interested in presenting at this online conference. All abstracts will be reviewed. Feedback and decisions will be sent by early January at the latest. There is no full paper submission for the event but each presenter will be appointed a discussant to kick-off the discussion in the session. \nAccepted presenters need to register for the conference and agree to present their paper on 18th February in a slot between 10am and 2pm pm (CET). \nFurther questions? \nPlease contact the ECSB Secretariat (info@ecsb.org) or the conference organising committee (ecsbonline@utu.fi).

SUMMARY:5th Annual RENT Abstract Writing Workshop
DESCRIPTION:This interactive workshop taking place online on Wednesday 22 April 2026 at 14:00-16:30 CEST offers support on writing an abstract to RENT Conference to be organised in Antwerp on 18-20 November 2026. \nAbout this event\nDo you want to submit to RENT in Antwerp this year? And have you… \n\nalready planned to submit\, but need some feedback (especially if it is one of the first times that you submit to the RENT)?\nconsidered a submission\, but are not sure whether your work is a good fit for the RENT?\na first draft or sketch of your submission and want to further work on it with your peers?\n\nIf any of these conditions apply to you\, join us for this year’s Abstract Writing Workshop! Together\, we will meet on Wednesday 22 April 2026 at 14:00-16:30 CEST online via Zoom and first\, get some tips from experienced ECSB members to improve the chances of our submission. While this provides a good point to get started\, the majority of this workshop will be spent writing the abstract\, getting and giving feedback and jointly reflecting our writing process with support from experienced advisors. \nWith this interactive workshop\, we aim to contribute to high-quality submissions of extended abstracts for the RENT and\, from an individual participant’s perspective\, we will get some writing done. This workshop entails: \n\nExpert’s advice on abstract writing for the RENT\nWorking individually on your writing\nReflecting together in small groups\nGiving and receiving feedback from experienced advisors\nDiscuss challenges with experts and colleagues\n\nThis means that this is an actual workshop in which you will actually work on your own abstracts. To get the most out of this\, please prepare a draft version of your abstract beforehand. This can be a rough sketch in bullet points\, but bring along a version that you can further work on. \nSee the RENT 2026 Conference website for more info:\nhttps://rent-conference.org/\nhttps://rent-conference.org/submission/submission-deadline-instructions \nOrganizers\nThis workshop is organized as a joint initiative from several ECSB country vice presidents\, represented by: \n\nSimon Schmidt (ECSB country VP for Germany)\nVerena Meyer (Germany)\nRenata Osowska (ECSB country VP for UK)\nPekka Stenholm (Finland)\n\nParticipation\nParticipation is free\, but a registration is required by 15 April 2026. The registered participants will receive a link to a brief survey\, providing us with some information to ensure efficient group work\, and a Zoom link to join the meeting. \nRegister HERE. \nContact person\nVerena Meyer (verena.meyer(at)leuphana.de) \nPS. RENT submission deadline is May 15\, 2026.
