Dr. Mario Raffa passed away

It is with great sadness that the ECSB announced last week the passing of its Fellow Dr. Mario Raffa. Mario was a highly valuable and respected member of the ECSB. Mario was a passionate colleague who was very dedicated to our organisation. He supported the ECSB in different of roles as a previous Board member and as an ECSB Fellow. He organised and he participated many conferences and workshops. He was an example for a lot of young researchers. We all appreciate very much the fact that Mario was involved in the organisation of RENT2020 (held online due to the Covid-19 pandemic) and he was involved in organising of RENT2022 in Naples in 2022 as a Co-chair. His work for ECSB will not be soon forgotten. ECSB will host the RENT2022 to honour his legacy. On behalf of the ECSB’s Board of Directors and community, we extend our deepest sympathies to Mario’s wife and family.
