European Council for Small Business and Entrepreneurship
Engaged entrepreneurship research in Europe

RENT 2022 will be organised in Naples, Italy on November 16–18, 2022. The abstract submission deadline for the conference is 15 May 2022. In addition, the calls are now open for several ECSB pre-conference events on 16 November. No fee is charged for participation in the pre-conference events but participation in the RENT Conference is compulsory.

ECSB Doctoral Workshop on Entrepreneurship and Small Business

The Doctoral Workshop represents a unique opportunity for doctoral students to present their thesis proposals and obtain useful insight into how their work can be improved and progressed as well as an opportunity for bouncing ideas off on experienced faculty. The workshop also facilitates the exchange of research experiences and new ideas in the fields of entrepreneurship and small business. The ECSB Doctoral Workshop is truly a meeting place for both new and experienced researchers from all over Europe and an ideal place to start networking. We particularly encourage students in the early stages of their research to participate as a way of launching themselves into the international research community.

Doctoral candidates interested in attending and presenting their research proposal should send a two page abstract including information on when they commenced their Ph.D. study and when they expect to complete. The abstract should be sent to Professor Helle Neergaard (Helle.Neergaard@mgmt.au.dk) no later than 1 July 2022.

Call for proposals for Professional Development Workshops (PDWs)

Professional Development Workshops (PDWs) are workshops to share knowledge and expertise, and foster the practical, professional and intellectual skills of participants. PDWs need to have a clear theme and target group, as well as deliver a high level of learning by giving the participants some clear ‘take-aways’. The format of a PDW should be dialogical and interactive. Apart from the professional development side, these PDWs should also promote networking among members who may not otherwise meet. There is no set structure for the proposals but please state clearly who the organizers of the PDW are, the importance of the proposed theme, the format you will use, the target audience and the takeaways from the workshop for participants.

Deadline for proposal of PDWs: Friday 29 July 2022 by e-mail to Mirela Xheneti (m.xheneti@sussex.ac.uk)
